My story

Helllllooooooo, ok I’m just going to be straight up- I’m crazy, ask anyone :p but for reals, I’m from South Africa, born and raised and love it. I’m twenty years old, single, and a lover of Jesus.
Many people want to know more about me than surface level, so although this isn’t a pretty story, here it is:
When I was 6 my dad left my mom and I so we went to live with my granny, then after that my mom left me when I was like 9 and got remarried. Then I lived with my granny and oupa till 8thgrade. In 8th grade my granny moved in with my mother and step father and I went to live with a friend. Things didn’t work out so I went to live with a different family. When things at that family didn’t work out I went to live with a different one and so on and so forth. So at the end of 12th grade I had lived with like 7 or 8 different families in 5 years, I was a foster child. It was tough but that was the only way I could stay at my school and church, which were my only safe places.  Thankfully I met Jesus in like 8th grade so by his grace I turned out okay in the end.
I came to America not to run away from any of that, because I honestly believe it’s made me who I am today and taught me lessons that most girls my age will only learn later on in life, but I came to America just to work and travel and explore. I guess moving around so much helped me to settle in better here :) I was also not very financially well off back home; I had to work all the way through high school and especially last year through 12th grade to get to America.
The biggest reason of telling you my story is to encourage you that A).  No matter what your situation is (many girls tell me they don’t have a lot of money to come here etc.), if you work hard enough you can overcome your obstacles, especially financial obstacles; and B). with God help and by his grace, you can see all your trials come to pass.
