Coming along :)

So all my plans are coming along nicely :) the family i will be staying with in the states are the Schwartz family. Evan is a property appraiser, and Jessica is an executive something or other for local radio stations. There children are Matthew-7 and Jillian-4. The family seems so lovely, the parents love entertaining, and cooking, and the kids love art, dress ups and nature... I just know i will fit in perfectly. I am scheduled to leave on the 22nd of January 2012, and will be there for a full year, and possibly a week or so longer just to explore :) When i get to the states, i have like a five day orientation thing in new York, then i will go to my family and start the exciting year of work and study and adventure! I am so excited, i think someone might have to push me on that airplane :)Thank you Jesus for blessing me so much!

They live in Marlboro New Jersey which is like an hour away from New York and they seem like the most chilled "cool" family.... I couldn't be happier.
So i have paid all my amounts into the agency that I’m going through YDP- Youth Development Programme and now onto my final step- getting my visa. i have been so busy with exams that i have barely looked at the checklist for visa application, but i know its a long list :P

If you believe please pray that my application for my visa is approved, and also feel free to ask me anything about my plans to America :)

Dancing in the rain...

So this is my new blog....but a fair intro to kissing the rain, is dancing in it :)

xx

Saturday

Why kissing the rain?

So i decided that life is for living, not being boring. Kissing the rain is a theory i came up with which allows me to savor each day as it comes. Have you ever tried kissing the rain? have you? it's awkward! you feel like an idiot, and you look a bit weird too, but there's something liberating about it. The fact is, when you do out of the norm things, like stand in the rain and try to kiss it, you release a part of you that keeps you young, your child-likeness
So everyday i try to do something unusual....They aren't all skinny dipping at midnight, or going for a long pointless drive somewhere pretty....sometimes its as simple as eating my food a different way...
It's all about making this day different to the last, because as i read in someone else's blog, life's to short to live the same say twice.

So I might spend some time sniffing lovely smelling flowers,

Eating like a child-with no limits,

Stargazing,

Making a super size cake for someone super specials birthday,
Or, I might just travel to America for a year :]

That's right, I'm going to New Jersey!!!

The deal is, i wanted to take a gap year before studying but i also needed to work. Going to America, through a renowned au pair agency, gave me the ability to work in a field i love-children, travel, get paid nice moola, and also study a short course for a year...

I am so excited about this, so please will you pray with me that Jesus leads the way :)
